Website focus: Free legal assistance and legal education. The specific objects, questions, materials and form of deliverable are agreed before work begins.
This section provides reference information to help prepare for resolving a dispute. The existence of the page does not mean that a forensic examination is carried out as part of mediation or free assistance; the relevant work and the specialist's competence are agreed separately.
What to prepare for an initial discussion
Describe the subject of the dispute, stage of proceedings, your procedural role and the circumstances requiring specialist knowledge. If known, state the case number, court and deadlines for submitting materials.
- Documents describing the task and relevant to the subject of the dispute.
- Complete existing reports, including appendices.
- The court order or decision appointing the examination, if available.
- Proposed questions and a list of available objects.
The final set of documents depends on the selected service. Preparing an examination does not include court representation or procedural actions unless those services have been agreed separately.
